Independent Home & Lifestyle Market
Fewer things. Better ones. All of them earning their shelf.
Morrowpine is a home-and-lifestyle market edited down to what we would keep ourselves: tabletop and kitchen, linens, candles and home fragrance, plants and small garden goods, pantry gifts, seasonal pieces and work by makers from around Central Florida. Around 600 items, each one argued over before it came in.
- Around 600 items
- 22 regional makers
- New arrivals most weeks
- Gift wrapping at the counter

Collections
Five departments, one standard.
Everything in the shop lives in one of five departments: Home & Table, Plants & Garden, Gifts & Pantry, Seasonal & Holiday, and the makers' table by the door. Each one is small enough to walk in ten minutes and deep enough that regulars still find something new.
Home & TableHome & Table
Tabletop and kitchen, linens, candles and home fragrance. Wooden spoons, enamel mugs, washed-linen napkins, beeswax candles and a good dish brush. Built to be replaced rarely.
Plants & GardenPlants & Garden
Fresh culinary herbs, small garden goods and hand-forged tools from a forge twenty minutes away. The first herbs of each season land on the bench by the door.
GiftsGifts & Pantry
Small and considered. Pocket knives, letterpress cards, preserves and pantry gifts, candles that smell like a place instead of a flavor, and a wrapping station at the counter.
SeasonalSeasonal & Holiday
A rotating collection that turns over four times a year: preserving jars and lanterns as the evenings shorten, then the holiday table and preorders for gathering.
New arrivalsJust in
Something new most weeks, often in small quantities, from a case of stoneware to the season's first herbs for the garden bench. Customers who chose New Arrivals or Plants & Garden hear first.
Prices are on the shelf, not hidden behind a tag. If something is out, ask; we usually know when it is coming back, and customers who chose Back in Stock hear the morning it does.
Around the shop

How things get in
Every item passes the same three questions.
Will it still be used in five years? Can we tell you who made it? Would we replace it with the same one when it finally wears out? If the answer to any of those is no, it does not get a shelf, however good it looks in a photo.
That rule keeps the shop small. It also means we say no to about four out of five things we are offered, and yes to a few oddities that earn their place: a fish scaler that doubles as a bottle opener, a paper that takes fountain pen ink without bleeding, a garden trowel forged twenty minutes from the shop, a rosemary that survives a Central Florida August.
- Around 600 items, reviewed twice a year
- Maker named on the shelf label wherever we can
- Repairs and spare parts sourced for anything we sold

Local makers
Twenty-two makers within an hour's drive. Four you should meet.
Roughly a third of the shop is made nearby. These are the people whose work we reorder most, and who show up when new work goes on the front table.
- Ironwork
Ansel Roake
Blacksmith. Hand-forged garden trowels, hooks and fire tools with a plain ash handle. Each piece carries his stamp on the tang.
- Ceramics
Hollis & Vane
A two-person pottery producing stoneware bowls, mugs and pouring jugs in six muted glazes. Seconds sold at cost when they are in the shop.
- Textiles
Ida Fenwright
Weaver. Cotton and linen dish towels and wool throws on a floor loom, in stripes she names after weather.
- Paper
Copper Street Press
Letterpress cards, notebooks and calendars printed on a hand-fed press older than the building it sits in.
New makers are added two or three times a year. Bring samples to the counter on a weekday and ask for Nell.
In the shop
A short calendar, kept on purpose.
Five or six gatherings a season. Small, in the shop, usually after close. Customers who chose Workshops & Events hear about each one in time to come.

Places for back-room events are limited by the size of the back room. We take names at the counter; a YES reply to the event note tells us you're interested and someone here follows up.

I stopped buying things in threes when I started shopping here. One dish brush, one good pan, one notebook. It sounds small, and it has changed how my kitchen feels.
Hear from us
Hear about the parts of the shop you care about. Nothing else.
Morrowpine tells customers when something they care about happens: the napkins that came back, the first herbs of the season, a maker on the front table, four places left on Saturday, holiday preorders opening. Each note goes to the customers who asked for that kind of thing.
Join with your email address at the counter, and every note comes to you by email. When you add the free Blasts app and enter our code, we accept the connection and the same notes move to your phone on their own. Nothing to sign up for twice.
Pick your interests on your preferences page: Home & Table, Plants & Garden, Local Makers, Workshops & Events, Seasonal & Holiday. Change them any time, mute us for a while, or leave the day you like; reply STOP to any email if you'd rather not hear from us at all.

Morrowpine runs this on RetailBlasts, the retail version of the Blasts Hub, with an interest for each part of the shop. Not five messages to every customer: five messages to the customers who wanted them.

Blasts is the free app our notes arrive in once you connect. You approve us once, choose what you hear about, and can leave any time without telling us.
- Back again: the washed-linen napkins
The washed-linen napkins people kept asking about are back on the shelf this morning, in all four colors. Nell here; reply if you'd like to know which ones we have most of.
To: Home & Table - Just in: the first fall herbs
The first fall herbs arrived this morning: rosemary, thyme, sage and two kinds of basil, on the bench by the door. They go quickly this time of year; the next delivery is expected in about two weeks.
To: Plants & Garden - This weekend: four places left at Saturday's candle pouring
Saturday's candle-pouring workshop at ten has four places left. Reply YES if you'd like one and Nell will follow up with you; we take names at the counter.
To: Workshops & Events - Local makers: new work on the front table
New work from three Central Florida makers is on the front table from this morning: Ansel's forged garden tools, a case of Hollis & Vane stoneware and Copper Street's autumn cards. All three will be in the shop Saturday afternoon.
To: Local Makers - Seasonal: holiday preorders open tomorrow
Holiday preorders open tomorrow at ten: the table linens, the candles and the pantry boxes. Pickup dates are on the form at the counter. If you'd like the form by reply, just ask.
